This Chandra NavagrahaStalam Thingaloor is named after the Tamil word, ‘Thingal’, which means Chandra or Moon. As most of the other Navagraha Temples of Tamilnadu, Kailasanathar Temple is also a Shiva Stalam and the main deities worshipped here are Kailasanathar(Lord Shiva) and Goddess Periyanakiamman(Goddess Parvati). This ancient Shaivite shrine reflects the early Dravidian architecture. A huge Nandi is seen in the front, facing the temple. The 16-sided Shiva lingam at the main shrine is made out of black granite. A unique feature of Thingaloor Temple is that during the months of Puratasi (September – October) and Panguni (March – April), the rays of the moon fall on the Shiva Lingam. The architectural style and the decorations carved on this temple are added features.

Based on his colour, Angaraka (Mars) is usually clad with red coloured cloth.[15] Vaitheeswaran is believed to preside over Angarakan in the temple. Along with Angarakan, Sambathi, Jatayu and Rig Veda are believed to have worshipped Vaitheeswaran at this temple.

Swetharanyeswarar Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the deity Shiva, located in Thiruvenkadu, a village in Nagapattinam district in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. This is the only temple that is dedicated to Lord Shani (Saneeswaran, in Tamil). Whenever (planet) Saturn transits from one zodiac sign to another (an occurrence roughly every 2.5 years), millions throng this shrine for worship. The legendary King Nala is said to have been relieved of his afflictions caused by the malefic influence of Saturn, after worship in this temple. Of the numerous theertams (sacred bathing places), the Nala theertam is the most important one. Naganathaswamy Temple is one of the nine Navagraha temples located in Keezhaperumpallam, the Cauvery Delta region. The main idol in the temple is that of “Naganatha Swamy” with his consort Soundaryanaki and the presiding deity is Ketu (also called shadow planet-Mercury).
